On day one, a real production pins three things to the wall: a character design sheet, a scene concept board and a storyboard. The /character-scene-storyboard skill in FilmMovie Studio makes all three at once — from your reference photo and a few sentences of script. The app first reads your character with a vision pass, builds an "appearance card", and pastes that same identity into all three documents, so the character looks the same on the sheet, in the scene and across every storyboard panel. This guide walks the whole flow click by click.
What you'll need
- An open project in FilmMovie Studio with an image provider configured (kie.ai or deAPI).
- 1 to 4 character reference photos (one per character, full-body or bust) as files — not just names typed in chat.
- A short script or scene description: a few sentences, a shot list, or dialogue with action.
Step by step
- 1
Attach the character reference photos
In the chat panel, click the paperclip icon and attach 1 to 4 character photos — one per character, ideally full-body or bust. For this guide we'll attach one photo: a woman named Mara. Attach real files; names typed into chat alone won't work, the app needs the images.

Tip: If you have no photos, type "skip" and describe the character in words — the app builds an appearance card from the description. - 2
Run the /character-scene-storyboard skill
From the skill icon above the chat box, pick /character-scene-storyboard (or type it). Add your script too, e.g.: "Mara stands on a deserted platform at dawn, waiting for a train that never comes." Send the message.

Approve the character + scene extraction
The app runs a vision pass over the photo and builds Mara's appearance card (hair, face, outfit, posture), then derives the environment, color palette and a ~12-beat shot list from the script. This is the first creative gate (⛔ requires approval). Review the appearance card and shot list, then confirm.

Choose style, ratio and panel count
A short brief opens with tabs. Pick the visual style for the whole set — e.g. S2 Cinematic Realism (default), or S6 2D Anime or S5 Western Comic. Set the panel aspect ratio (16:9 default) and storyboard length (12 panels, 3×4, recommended). Confirm.

Watch the three sheets build on the canvas
The app generates three composite images in order: first the character design sheet with Mara's three-view lineup, large portrait and expression badges; then the scene concept board with the platform's atmosphere and a 5-swatch palette; finally the storyboard with 12 numbered panels and captions. Cards drop onto the canvas and anchor to each other so Mara stays identical everywhere.

Let the quality pass run
The app automatically runs a vision check: it compares Mara's likeness to the photo, verifies all modules are present, that the storyboard has all 12 numbered panels, and that the style is consistent. Any sheet scored below 7 of 10 is regenerated once with tightened constraints. You don't need to intervene.

Refine or expand at the delivery gate
At the end you get a choice (⛔ second gate): "Adjust a sheet", "Expand a section" or "Done". Pick "Expand a section" to request, say, one storyboard panel rendered full-frame, or Mara as a standalone high-res portrait. "Adjust" regenerates only the affected sheet. "Done" wraps up the set.

What you get
On your canvas you now have three matched pre-production documents: Mara's design sheet, the scene concept board and a 12-panel storyboard — all in one style with the same character. It's a complete pre-production package like a real production would pin to the wall: ready to share with a team or to serve as the exact plan for the video that follows.
Pro tips
- One style across all three sheets is an iron law — that's what keeps the set unified. Change the style in the brief, not per sheet.
- In-image text is always English; keep panel captions short (under ~6 words) or they may garble.
- With 3 to 4 characters or 16+ panels, the app may split content across more sheets to keep everything legible.
